I've asked for 2 features to be implemented and both were added less than a week after I asked. There's some knowledgeable folks there when it comes to the more advanced features and the developer is pretty awesome at responding to requests. If you get stuck or would like a feature implementing, post on the MusicBee forum. There are half a dozen presets to choose from for sorting, but you can create custom sorts where you can choose from dozens of criteria for sorting.Īlso, if you can customize options to export music to USB devices, like putting them in folders based on a tag property. I'm not sure if that covers what you want, but if not, then I'm not sure if you can sort by Date Created. You can sort by Date Added and Date Modified. Also, in the regular settings, you can highly customise the encoder settings for individual codecs, set the number of CPU threads that the encoder will use etc. From there you can choose a codec, settings for the codec, whether you want the files to replace the existing ones, whether you want the files saved to a different folder, whether you want to reset the play count, and a couple of other bits and pieces. To get to the very latest beta version (which is very stable and adds a bunch of new features), download this zip file:. If you want to give it a go, you can download it here:. Here's a screenshot of it running on my PC (open in a new tab for a full screen view):. Whoever made it was clearly inspired by MediaMonkey, but it's like a slicker, nicer looking version of it. ITunes on Windows is a big bag of cack and while MediaMonkey is great, some features are locked away behind a pay wall and the user interface leaves a lot to be desired IMO.Įarlier on I discovered another music player/manager called MusicBee.
